About me
Hi! My name is Sofia Lanbina (also known as betstattoo), and I'm a fine line tattoo artist based in Munich, Germany. I specialize in creating floral, botanical, and nature-inspired tattoos, often drawn freehand to follow the natural flow of the body.
I've been deeply inspired by flowers since childhood, thanks to my mom. Spending time in nature, I would often sketch plants and study their shapes. Creating botanical designs has always felt natural and calming to me. That's why today I focus on custom fine line tattoos with a floral aesthetic, working closely with each client to create something personal and harmoniously integrated with the body.
Tattooing allows me to do what I love. I get to travel, meet wonderful people, and create meaningful pieces. Seeing the happiness and appreciation from my clients is the most rewarding part — it truly means everything to me.
Hope to meet you soon!
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you use vegan tattoo ink? +
Yes — I use Kwadron INX tattoo ink, which is vegan and cruelty-free. It's well suited for fine line and delicate tattoos.
What is freehand tattooing? +
Freehand tattooing means drawing the design directly on the skin using a marker or pen, instead of using a stencil. This allows me to create a composition that follows the natural flow of your body and feels more personal and unique.
The details are then refined and completed directly during the tattooing process.
How do I know if my tattoo will be freehand or prepared in advance? +
I mostly work freehand, but depending on the idea, I may prepare a design beforehand.
To find out what works best for your tattoo, simply fill out the form — I'll get in touch to discuss your idea and guide you through the process.
How should I care for my tattoo after the session? +
After your appointment, I'll send you detailed aftercare instructions depending on your tattoo.
In general, the tattoo should be kept clean and moisturized. Wash it gently with pH-neutral soap, let it dry, and apply a thin layer of aftercare cream. Repeat this regularly until it's fully healed (usually around 10–14 days).
During healing, avoid scratching, soaking the tattoo, heavy sweating, and direct sun exposure. The tattoo may itch and lightly peel — this is a normal part of the process.
If you have any questions or concerns at any stage, feel free to contact me.
Do fine line tattoos fade over time? +
Like all tattoos, fine line tattoos naturally soften over time. Their longevity depends on technique, placement, and aftercare — not just how fine the needle is.
I focus on proper depth and pigment application to ensure your tattoo heals beautifully and maintains its detail as much as possible. You can also see healed results in the Healed highlight on my Instagram.
Do fine line tattoos hurt? +
Pain is always subjective, but fine line tattoos are generally less intense compared to larger or more heavily shaded pieces. The feeling is usually quite light and manageable.
Placement plays a big role, as some areas are more sensitive than others. If you're concerned about this, I can guide you and suggest areas that are less likely to hurt. I always work gently and at a steady pace to make the experience as comfortable as possible, and we can take breaks whenever needed.
Can you cover or rework an existing tattoo? +
I often add to existing tattoos or work around them to create a more cohesive composition, especially in a fine line and botanical style.
Full cover-ups are usually not possible with my style, as it relies on light, delicate details. However, feel free to share your idea by filling out the form — I'll let you know what's possible and suggest the best approach for your tattoo.
Can you tattoo over scars? +
Yes, I often work with scars and create designs that flow naturally with the skin. Fine line botanical tattoos can be a beautiful way to softly draw attention away from scars.
Each case is different, so it depends on the type and condition of the scar. You're welcome to send me a photo by filling out the form — I'll let you know what's possible and suggest the best approach.
I also run a non-profit scar cover-up tattoo initiative called AFTER. If you'd like a chance to receive a free tattoo over your scars, you can visit its Instagram page and apply through the form.
How much does a fine line tattoo cost? +
The price depends on the size, placement, and complexity of the design.
I focus on custom tattoos, so each piece is priced individually. To get an accurate estimate, please fill out the form with your idea — I'll get in touch to discuss the details and guide you through the process.
